Chile, drug and change on the law drug

Just like every other country in South America, chile battles with the traffic drug and addiction.  But the manufacturing not take the place in the country, this takes place across the borders in Bolivia or Peru or up the coast a little ways in Colombia, mainly opioids, marijuana and cocaine.

Students also have a tendency to abuse the highly toxic and addictive coca paste, with about 3 percent of all students admitting they were using this drug. The cocaine paste generates an instant addiction, this is different to marijuana and other opioids.

for the case of marijuana, is used by many Chileans of different age and with different objectives. In the last few years, the change in the drug law, generated many debates, mainly for the new classification of the marijuana. for the drug law, the marijuana is a dangerous drug.

The national drug control agency of Chile justified this move by stating that 70 percent of people who entered treatment for drug addiction had started their drug use with marijuana. The director of that agency also reported that one third of the 7,000 people treated for drug addiction each year come in for marijuana abuse. Of those who abuse cannabis, 21 percent in Chile are diagnosed as being dependent on the drug, making it a highly problematic drug.

In all, 7 percent of Chileans report having used the drug in 2006, an increase over earlier years. Of South American countries, Chile has the second-highest cannabis usage figure, following Argentina.

In the actuality, the law classified to consumers as offenders, this is wrong. The consumers of drug, should be helped if they come into an addiction that affects their health or welfare, and not punished.

i hope a change in the law, where it is understood that the problem corresponds to a health problem and not crime.

Have you ever been really scared?

This time, I going to talk about a really unusual experience. In my first year In this university, I had a strange accident.

I was traveling as usual to university, with the metro full of people, from Ecuador to Catolica station. when I get a Los Heroes, A strange feeling that I never had invaded, between fear and suffocation, had the urgent need to get off the subway, I am opened through the crowd to exit the train.

When getting off the subway, the feeling did not disappear, I remember walking blindly toward the wall, away from the platform. Leaning against the wall, I see a girl looking at me from inside the train, in this time my vision blurs and everything goes black. I hear screams in the distance and I feel my life run away of my hand.

I woke up on the floor, the first thing I saw were my hands spattered with blood and a large pool of blood stretched beneath my head. I tried to remember what happened but the last memory I had was that of the girl looking at me from the train and then everything went dark.

I was taken on a stretcher to a safe place. Although I have not clear that was what happened that day, for the doctors, had a seizure that culminated in something they call psychomotor automatism. In a few words, I walked unconscious toward the platform and the next train hit me.

That is one of the most bizarre and terrifying experience I went through. I hope that does not happen again.

SANTIAGO DE CHILE

The capital of Chile, Santiago, a city of more than 6 million people concentrates the greatest economic, administrative, cultural, commercial, industrial and political of Chile. It was founded on February 12 in 1541 in the valley of the Mapocho River, at the foot of Cerro Santa Lucia, by the Spanish Pedro de Valdivia.

The city is located in the country's central valley, flanked by the imposing Andean mountains and the coast range, and with an average height of about 550 meters above sea level in the central areas. However, in the east, you can find city inhabited areas over 800 meters high.

Santiago has a Mediterranean climate tall, temperate, with regular temperature variations between winter and summer. Rainfall is concentrated between the months of March and September (autumn and winter), and very little during the summer. In December, the average maximum temperature reaches 27.8 ° C, while the minimum is 10.6 ° C average.

The historic center is one of the main tourist areas, in which is located the Plaza de Armas, the presidential palace of La Moneda and the Metropolitan Cathedral, among other civic and religious buildings of heritage value.

Other sectors are interesting to visit Forest Park, the Bellavista neighborhood, the hill Santa Lucia and the Yungay neighborhood.

The Yungay neighborhood offers a lot of activities mixed with an environment that seeks to rescue the traditions of the city.

With a traditional gastronomy and cultural activities, the Yungay neighborhood takes the afternoons and evenings of santiago, aiming to create a more bohemian neighborhood with better living conditions. You can find various information of this sector on the following link: http://www.elsitiodeyungay.cl

Santiago is an interesting place where you can find various cultural activities, which make this city a great place to explore and discover how good this city offers. City remembers not only the air pollution and people who will not stop.

Great expectation

“Great expectations” is a book of Charles dickens, a book of social criticism. This novel is the second publication after “David Copperfield”, is considerate the most important and sophisticate novel from the author. The novel narrate the history of Philip Pirrip (Pip), a history of improvement, where he sought the nobility, this novel is considerate a “Bildungsroman”, Bildungsroman is a term for all the novel of learning. Charles Dickens born in 1812 but to the day is remembered, is a very good author that will probably never go out of fashion, due to the good plot and content of his works.

I’m not relationship with this novel, because I never read this book but I believe that the author is a very good writer. and is an author know for all the people in the world. So I think this novel can be a very good option for future reading.

I have great expectations for this semester, first do my practice on a ONG (Techo Para Chile) in a proyect of the social vulnerability in Buenos Aires, working with informal settlements and housing policies in the neighboring country. For this semester also i have thought stay more time with my family, have a good time with important people for my and practice news songs with my band.

I also hope to improve in the class of English and meet new people. Finally I hope to finish the recording of the first album of my band and thus achieve a better distribution of music I do.
